While editing a wiki page, one row of controls sits above the editing box. Which controls appear depends on what kind of page it is, so a page alias or a repository page shows fewer of them.

  • The gear opens the page's settings, where the kind of page, its title, its description and the rest are set. Pressing it again closes the settings and returns to editing.
  • The language chooser says which translation of the page is being edited. Choosing another language loads that language's copy of the page and saves to it. It does not change the language the site is shown to you in.
  • The drawer opens the page's resources: the files, pictures and other media kept with the page. Pressing it again returns to editing.
  • The book shows and hides a preview of the page beside what is being typed. The preview starts closed so the editing box has the whole window until it is asked for.
  • The clock opens the page's history, which lists every earlier version and lets one version be compared against another or restored.
  • The books open the wiki syntax page, which describes the marks used to write a page, including the four dots on a line of their own that separate one slide from the next on a presentation page.

On the settings view and the resources view the row is shorter, holding only the language chooser and this mark, since the settings and the resources each have their own way of closing.

The page's own name and the way to the list of pages in the group are not in this row. Both are in the navigation bar above it.
